Recycling and regeneration have become integral components of waste reduction for environmental protection. Since 2019, Vitasoy has launched the first Carton Clean Recycling Programme in Hong Kong to raise awareness about clean carton recycling. Through mobile education truck, booths and exhibitions, the Programme aims to educate the public about the life cycle, structure and recycling technologies of beverage cartons. By transforming used beverage cartons into cardboard, furniture, coasters, stationery, tissue papers and other daily necessities, the Programme hopes to contribute to the circular economy.
Vitasoy Beverage Carton Clean Recycling Recognition Scheme 2023 saw participation from 460 organisations, including schools, community recycling centres, residential buildings, shopping malls and retail shops; this resulted in the collection of over 50,000 kg of cartons through early 500 recycling bins. The Scheme also included Top Collection Weight Awards to boost participation with trophies and award certificates made from the pulp separated from cartons, attaching importance to waste recycling.
